North Cascades National Park, WA – 7.29.12

Unlike what most of us are used to in other parts of the country, “spring” flowers don’t show themselves in the mountains of the North Cascades until well into the summer. Along the trail were small fields of what looked like miniature daffodils. These yellow fields were broken up by some whites and pinks as well as large areas of snow refusing to melt.
